Klobenstein
- Wolfsgruben - Earth Pyramids - Maria
Himmelfahrt - Oberbozen - Train to Klobenstein
Altitude 1000 m to 1300 m
Start at Klobenstein (1160 m), take the path no. 15 via Wallnereck
(1300 m) to Wolfsgruben (1200 m). Then take the path no. 26A &
26 to Oberbozen. Continue the path no. 23 down to the Earth Pyramids
(1000 m). Now continue the blue path no. 6 to Maria Himmelfahrt
and Oberbozen. From Oberbozen you return to Klobenstein by train.

Schedules of the train:
Departure Klobenstein at 5 minutes after every hour: 10.05, 11.05,
etc.
Departure Oberbozen at 44 after every hour: 14.44 Uhr, 15.44 Uhr,
etc.

The impressive Earth Pyramids
of Oberbozen are my favorite Earth Pyramids at Renon.

This walk is possible in all weathers: it's always
possibly returning to Klobenstein by train. You should not miss
seeing the Apiculture museum at Wofsgruben. From Oberbozen you
can reach also Bolzano by cable car (the new cable car starts
autumn 2008) and visit the old part of the town, fruit market,
Saturdays market and archaeological museum.
